Sean’s roots lie in social justice, LGBT activism and HIV/AIDS prevention, care and research. His personal experiences with homelessness, discrimination and violence shape his practice of the sociology. His diverse professional experiences range from providing HIV/STI testing services on the streets of Los Angeles to providing mobile case management services to newly diagnosed, HIV-positive youth of color. Recently, Sean was a Health Policy Fellow at the Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion in U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Sean is a mixed-methods, mHealth and social network scholar interested in LGBT health, gender, emotions and identity.
